Bob Peeters: 'Charlton Athletic can change expectations'

Bob Peeters insists that Charlton Athletic are prepared for the pressure which comes as a result of their early-season form.

Bob Peeters has insisted that Charlton Athletic will relish the pressure which arrives as a result of their impressive start to the season.

Charlton's unbeaten run continued on Tuesday night with a 3-2 triumph over Derby County, and Peeters is confident that his side can continue to prove the doubters wrong in the Championship.

"We showed glimpses of very good football, and that's what we need to keep going," the Belgian told reporters. "Before the season, they say this is favourite, that is favourite, for me it's all about keeping focus.

"Never trust the bookies. We deserve the points we get.

"Expectations will change, everyone will come now and try and beat us so we need to step up."

Charlton are currently fourth in the table, but are level on seven points with leaders Nottingham Forest.
