Chris Powell expecting a "very tough game" against Sheffield United

Charlton Athletic manager Chris Powell admits that his side will be in for a "very tough game" against Sheffield United in the FA Cup tomorrow afternoon.

Chris Powell has admitted that his Charlton Athletic side will be in for a "very tough" afternoon against Sheffield United tomorrow.

The Addicks travel to Bramall Lane with a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup up for grabs.

Despite his side being 90 minutes away from an appearance at Wembley, Powell acknowledges that the club are lucky to still be in the competition after finding themselves 2-0 down against Oxford United in the third round.

"That was a painful first 45 minutes," the 44-year-old is quoted as saying by Clubcall.com. "I let the players know that and they responded in the right way and got themselves out of it.

"Then the replay at Oxford was very professional, a 3-0 win, and showed me they are ready to fight in adversity which is the majority of the season in our league campaign.

"All the interest, being live on TV, it's definitely been worth it and we want it to continue. It will be a very tough game, make no bones about. Sheffield United are a side who have done particularly well in the cup and fair play to Nigel Clough and his team - but they'll know they are in for a hard game as well."

Charlton head into the game on the back of a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Championship leaders Leicester City.
