Johnnie Jackson: 'New FA Cup balls too feminine'

Charlton captain Johnnie Jackson says that the FA's new fuchsia-coloured footballs for Cup matches are too "feminine".

Charlton captain Johnnie Jackson has said that the FA's new fuchsia-coloured footballs for Cup matches are too "feminine".

Nike, who designed the Incyte ball, officially say it is "mango-coloured", but Jackson is not a fan.

He told The Telegraph: "I like the ball, but I'm not too fond of the colour.

"It's quite light with a bit of movement if you catch it right. It's just a bit feminine.

"What's wrong with white? I don't see what the problem is."

Charlton, who play Sheffield Wednesday in the competition on Saturday, have lost their last three games.
