Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley admits that it would be a "massive blow" if Victor Wanyama were to leave the club this summer.

Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley believes that teammate Victor Wanyama has the potential to play for a top club in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old was the subject of a £12m bid from Southampton, which was accepted by the Bhoys, but reports suggest that he turned down the move to St Mary's.

Ledley told the Daily Record: "He's been great but it looks like he'll continue his career somewhere else now.

"The Celtic fans know how good Victor is and realise we got him at a steal. He can play for a top team in the Premier League, easily.

"If Victor goes it will be a massive blow to us. He was terrific in the Champions League for us last season."

Wanyama scored nine goals in 49 appearances for Neil Lennon's side last season.
