Celtic boss scouts defender Strahinja Pavlovic

Celtic manager Neil Lennon watched Partizan Belgrade defender Strahinja Pavlovic in Europa League action last night.

The 18-year-old, who has recently been linked with a £4.5m move to Juventus, played from the start against Welsh club Connah's Quay Nomads.

Pavlovic's recent form attracted the interest of Lennon, according to The Sun, who attended the Europa League tie to get a closer look at the youngster before deciding whether to make a move.

Standing at 6'4", the centre-half only made his senior debut in February and is under contract with his club until 2021.

Lennon will also have been alerted to the youngster's versatility, as he is capable of playing in the defensive midfield role.

Meanwhile, Celtic have also 'run checks' over two potential right-back targets recently.
