Lennon hails 'fantastic' Celtic

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has lavished praise on his players after they secured the Scottish Premiership title with a resounding 5-1 win against Partick Thistle.

The Hoops boss declared that his side's performance was "simply breathtaking" as they coasted to their 45th league title with seven games to spare.

"It was a fantastic night for the club, a fantastic performance, a fantastic support," Lennon told BBC Sport.

"Now we are really stamping our authority on the game in Scotland and want to take it further. We want to take it into Europe."

He added: "We are the title favourites every season, but we've been emphatic this year."

Anthony Stokes bagged a brace during the rout, with Liam Henderson, Stefan Johansen and Kris Commons also getting their names on the scoresheet.
