Celtic trio cleared to play in 2012 Games

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has given Scott Brown, James Forrest and Adam Matthews the green light to play for Team GB at the Olympics in 2012.

The Scottish FA have admitted that they are opposed to their players taking part, but Lennon will allow them to make their own decision.

"I haven't had the chance to speak to the players but Scott, James and Adam were sent formal invites. We will sit down with them over the next few weeks and see what they are thinking," Lennon told The Sun.

"But that is my own view, not the view of the club. But if the players want to go, I'm not going to discourage it."

The squad for the under-23 tournament can include three over-age players.
