Half-Time Report: Celtic in front against Liverpool

Celtic have a 1-0 lead over Liverpool at half time in tonight's friendly encounter at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The Scottish champions opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Amido Balde looped the ball over the onrushing Simon Mignolet.

Liverpool then had a number of chances to level as Lukasz Zaluska kept out efforts from Philippe Coutinho and Stewart Downing.

Glen Johnson was the next to be denied by the goalkeeper before Steven Gerrard blazed over in the final stages of the half.
