Abel Resino leaves Celta Vigo

Celta Vigo have confirmed that they have parted company with manager Abel Resino.

The 53-year-old took charge of the La Liga club in February and saved them from relegation on the final day of the season.

A Celta statement read: "Abel Resino leaves Celta after both parties reached an agreement to go their separate ways, a decision jointly taken today which is considered best as much for the coach as for the club."

Resino's assistant coaches Pepe Serer and Miguel Peiro have also left the club.
