Cardiff City confirm Stuart O'Keefe signing

Cardiff City have announced the signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Stuart O'Keefe for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal to become Russell Slade's fourth signing of the window after Alex Revell, Scott Malone and Lee Peltier.

O'Keefe started only 31 times for Palace after joining from Southend in 2010 and is looking forward to a new challenge.

He told the club's official website: "I'm really happy to be a Cardiff City player. I enjoyed my four years at Palace, but I wanted to come here now for a new challenge. I'm 23 and I felt it was the right time to take the next step in my career."

O'Keefe made four appearances for Championship strugglers Blackpool during a brief loan spell earlier this season.
