Cardiff City announce that Juan Cala's contract has been terminated by mutual consent.

Cardiff City have announced that Juan Cala's contract has been terminated by mutual consent.

The 25-year-old defender only joined the Welsh side in February earlier this year and scored twice in seven appearances as they were relegated from the Premier League.

Since then he has played just once in the Championship and recently expressed his anger at being forced to train with the club's academy.

He tweeted that he wanted to leave the club as soon as possible and now his wish has been granted.

His contract was due to run until the end of next season.
