Cardiff consider red strip switch

Cardiff City could play in red shirts next season as part of a proposed rebranding by the club's Malaysian owners.

The move could also see the South Wales side change its emblem to include a Welsh dragon, according to Wales Online.

Nicknamed the Bluebirds, Cardiff have played in blue strips since 1908.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the club will no longer be ground-sharing with Cardiff Blues.

The rugby union side will return to the Arms Park with immediate effect following a three-year spell at Cardiff City Stadium.
