Olympic women's football – Cameroon vs. Brazil

Group E's second encounter on Wednesday pits Cameroon against a much-fancied Brazil side in Cardiff.

The Brazilians have made the final in their last two Olympic football tournaments, while Cameroon are only in the competition because Equatorial Guinea fielded an ineligible player during the qualification campaign.

It would probably be fair to state that Brazil's defence is among the weakest in the competition, but in Formiga they boast one of the best midfielders in the game.

Should the 34-year-old appear on Wednesday, then she will become the only player to feature in every women's Olympic football competition to date.

Cameroon enter the match with no real injury concerns, while Marta is expected to start in attack alongside Cristiane for Brazil - with Ester and Formiga starting in midfield.

Possible starting lineups:

Cameroon: Ngo Ndom; Manie, Siewe Yamaleu, Ejangue, Meffometou; Zouga, Bella, Yango, Yoh; Onguene, Feudjio

Brazil: Andreia; Daiane, Aline, Erika, Maurine; Rosana, Ester, Formiga, Elaine; Marta, Christiane

Sports Mole says: 0-3
