Marvin Bartley leaves Burnley

Marvin Bartley leaves Burnley by mutual consent with six months remaining on his contract.

Marvin Bartley has left Burnley by mutual consent with six months remaining on his contract at the club.

The 27-year-old, who has been on loan at Leyton Orient this season, joined Burnley from Bournemouth in January 2011.

"Burnley Football Club has terminated their contract with midfielder Marvin Bartley by mutual consent," a club statement read.

"Marvin, who made a total of 72 appearances for the Clarets, would like to take this opportunity to thank the fans for all their support during his time playing for Burnley Football Club and wish the club the best for the remainder of the Championship season."

Bartley has scored twice in 19 games for Orient during the current campaign.
