Charlie Austin wants Burnley stay

Burnley striker Charlie Austin insists that he does not want to move to the Premier League.

Burnley striker Charlie Austin has insisted that he is not looking to depart the Championship club in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old has scored 20 goals in 19 appearances this season, leading to suggestions that a host of Premier League clubs were preparing a move.

However, the former Swindon Town striker has reaffirmed his commitment to the club that he joined in 2011.

"I'm here to play for Burnley football club. I'm enjoying my football at the moment and I long to stay here," he told talkSPORT.

Newcastle United are reportedly leading the race.
