Kieran Trippier has claimed that Burnley will need to improve defensively if they are to keep alive their hopes of staying in the Premier League.
The Clarets head to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Wednesday evening following a 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion, and Trippier admits that wasting a two-goal advantage by conceding twice from set pieces against the Baggies is not acceptable.
"When you're 2-0 up at home and controlling the game, it's frustrating. It's just cheap goals that we're giving away and that's not good," the defender told reporters.
"We work on set pieces all the time and it's not nice to give goals like that away. It can be costly in this league because of the quality of the opposition.
"We gave West Brom a lifeline and let them back in the game. We just have to keep practising on the training ground like we have been doing."
Burnley have conceded 40 goals in their 24 league games this season.
