Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski has urged head coach Sean Dyche to stay with the Clarets.

Dyche has been widely praised for his work at Turf Moor, with the former Championship club currently sitting seventh in the Premier League table after 11 matches of the 2017-18 campaign.

Indeed, Burnley have only lost twice in the league this term, and are just three points off the top four.

Dyche has been strongly linked with the managerial job at Everton, but Tarkowski is hopeful that the 46-year-old will reject the interest to continue his work with the Clarets.

"The gaffer has been terrific with the lads so it's no surprise that other teams have been looking at him. We all want him to stay," the Lancashire Telegraph quotes Tarkowski as saying.

"We're building something quite special, it's a long process and to go from where we were five years ago the club is heading in the right direction and everybody wants to be a part of that."

Burnley will look to make it three straight Premier League wins when they host Swansea City on November 18.
