Sean Dyche has told his Burnley team that relegation is inevitable unless they learn to be ruthless following Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Turf Moor.
Aaron Ramsey's 12th-minute strike proved enough to settle a contest that the Clarets dominated for large spells without finding the net.
Dyche's side remain 19th in the table, two points adrift of safety, and the Burnley boss warned his troops that the Championship beckons unless they can be more clinical.
"There were moments but you've got to take the moments and that's something that we've failed at all season," he told a post-match press conference.
"[In the] second half we got right on the front foot and went after them much better than we did in the first half.
"You've got to take the chances you create - we created certainly two good ones but you've got to take them at this level, particularly against sides like Arsenal because they don't give you many."
Burnley travel to Merseyside to face Everton next Saturday.
