Sean Dyche wins Championship award

Burnley's Sean Dyche has won the Championship manager of the month award for September.

The Clarets picked up a total of 10 points from their four league games last month in a run that took the Turf Moor outfit to the top of the Championship table.

Dyche began September by leading his side to a draw in the Lancashire derby against Blackburn Rovers, before they dominated a disappointing Birmingham City side at Turf Moor.

Confidence was growing at the club, and after Burnley edged out Leeds United at Elland Road, they ended the month with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic.
