Dyche plays down Leicester speculation

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has described talk of a potential switch to Leicester City as "a paper story".

Dyche has reportedly been shortlisted as one of the contenders to replace Craig Shakespeare, who was removed from his position at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday.

However, while acknowledging that any interest would be 'flattering', Dyche has insisted that he has not been approached over the vacant role at the East Midlands outfit.

The 46-year-old told reporters: "It's not the first time I've been linked. You're flattered by it. It's some form of recognition of the work done.

"It's a paper story. I'm never been aware of any approach. There's nothing in my consideration other than [the game against] Man City."

Burnley currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table after losing just one of their opening eight games.
