Burnley boss Sean Dyche: 'Draw sums up our season'

Sean Dyche claims that Burnley's 0-0 draw with Stoke City "encapsulated" his team's season.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has claimed that his side's goalless draw with Stoke City "encapsulated" their season.

Both sides were forced to share the spoils on Saturday following a cagey 90 minutes at Turf Moor.

Dyche admits that failing to convert chances in front of goal has been a recurring theme for his team this term.

"It was probably a game that encapsulated our season," he told the club's official website. "The players gave everything, regardless of last week when people might have been wondering if we had enough in our stomach to go hard again.

"We did everything but score a goal and unfortunately that has come around too many times this season. I feel like a broken record, because we created good chances but didn't take them and we gave their keeper a chance to save them, rather than forcing him to make world-class saves."

The relegated Clarets play their final match of the campaign on May 24 when they make the trip to Aston Villa.
