Frankie Fielding signs new Bristol City contract

Frankie Fielding extends Robins deal

Frankie Fielding has committed his future to Bristol City by signing a new three-year deal.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Robins from Derby County in 2013, played a key role as the club secured promotion to the Championship, and City boss Steve Cotterill is delighted to have secured the goalkeeper's services for the foreseeable future.

"I am delighted Frankie has signed his new deal, and it is thoroughly deserved," Cotterill told the club's website.

"He was in terrific form last year, featuring in every minute of every game.

"It couldn't happen to a nicer member of the squad. He gives everything on a daily basis and is a fantastic professional."

The Robins start the season with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
