Bristol City take on West Ham United tomorrow evening with both sides in need of three points for different reasons. Here, Sports Mole previews which team is likely to come out on top.

The task is simple for Sam Allardyce's West Ham United tomorrow evening.

They must claim maximum points from their trip to Bristol City and hope Reading fail to defeat Nottingham Forest if they are to keep their hopes of automatic promotion alive.

Allardyce has already urged his side to put in a similar performance that saw them score six without reply against Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.

With very few injury concerns, the manager is not expected to make any changes from the side that recorded that comprehensive win over the Seagulls.

Meanwhile, hosting Bristol City will be without striker Brett Pitman, who is serving a suspension. Kalifa Cisse is also a major doubt with an ankle injury.

If City win the encounter then Portsmouth will be relegated. However, they have only been able to win two homes matches from their last six attempts.

Current form:

Bristol City: DDDWWD
West Ham: DWLWDW

Possible lineups:

Bristol City: Gerken; Foster, Amougou, Carey, Fontaine; Skuse, Cisse, Pearson, Woodford; Stead, Wood

West Ham: Green; Demel, Tomkins, Reid, Taylor; Noble, O'Neill, Lansbury, Nolan; Cole, Vaz Te

Sports Mole says: 2-2
