Brighton & Hove Albion announce that Solly March has signed a new contract until June 2026 with the option to extend for a further year.

Brighton & Hove Albion have announced that winger Solly March has signed a new contract until June 2026, with the option to extend for a further year.

The 28-year-old has been a standout performer for the Seagulls this season, and has enjoyed a purple patch in front of goal since Boxing Day having contributed with seven goals in his last 11 Premier League appearances.

March's latest top-flight strike proved to be the winning goal as Brighton edged past M23 rivals Crystal Palace by a 1-0 scoreline at the Amex Stadium on Wednesday night.

The winger had less than 16 months remaining on his original deal, but he has decided to commit his future to the club by penning a new two-year extension.

Speaking to Brighton's official website on March's new deal, head coach Roberto De Zerbi said: "It's great news. Solly deserves this new contract.

"We are all happy for him and I am happy for him because I want all the great players to stay with me."

March has spent his entire professional career at Brighton since joining the club from non-league Eastbourne back in December 2011.

The winger has since made a total of 266 appearances across all competitions for the Seagulls, scoring 21 goals and providing 27 assists.

March has particularly excelled since the appointment of De Zerbi in September, and has established himself as a key player in Brighton's quest to qualify for Europe.

Brighton remain on course for their highest-ever Premier League finish and currently sit seventh in the table, six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotpsur with two games in hand.

March has become the third Seagulls star to sign a new contract with the club this month after midfielder duo Adam Lallana and Moises Caicedo, who have extended their deals until 2024 and 2027 respectively.

Brighton's No.7 will be hoping to continue his strong run of form and retain his place in the starting lineup when De Zerbi's side welcome League Two outfit Grimsby Town to the Amex for a FA Cup quarter-final clash on Sunday.
