Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Matthew Upson on a one-year deal.
The 34-year-old defender joins the Seagulls on a free transfer after being released by Stoke City.
The former England international spent the second half of last season on loan at the Championship club.
Upson scored one goal in 20 games with Brighton during the last campaign as the team narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League.
