Result: Brighton 2-1 Doncaster Rovers

Newly-promoted Brighton got their Championship campaign off to a winning start with a 2-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers.

The visitors led at the break through a Billy Sharp goal, before home manager Gus Poyet was sent to the stands.

The Seagulls turned the game around in the final seven minutes with two goals from Will Buckley.

The match was the first competitive fixture at Brighton's new Amex Stadium.
