Gus Poyet could quit as manager of Brighton to take over at one of three Premier League clubs.

Gus Poyet could be about to quit Brighton & Hove Albion in order to join a Premier League club.

The Uruguayan has impressed after guiding the Seagulls to the Championship during his first full season before a 10th-placed finish in England's second tier this term.

Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all thought to be monitoring the 44-year-old's situation on the south coast, according to the Daily Mail.

Poyet took over at Brighton in 2009 in what was his first coaching role.
