Steve Bruce, Chris Hughton, Mick McCarthy, Chris Ramsey up for Championship MOTM

The August Championship Manager of the Month award will be won by either Steve Bruce, Chris Hughton, Mick McCarthy or Chris Ramsey.

The nominees for the first Championship Manager of the Month of 2015-16 have been revealed and the early top four sides have been recognised.

Brighton & Hove Albion dropped just two points in five games and their boss Chris Hughton heads the four-man shortlist after leading his side to the top of the table.

The Seagulls are three points clear of Hull City, Ipswich Town and Queens Park Rangers.

Steve Bruce's Hull have a perfect record at home, while no team have scored more than Mick McCarthy's Ipswich, who have netted 10 goals in five games.

Queens Park Rangers are also into double figures on the goals front under Chris Ramsey, whose side have won three on the spin to move within touching distance of the summit.

The winner will be announced on Friday morning.
