Brighton players bailed over alleged sex attack

Five Brighton & Hove Albion players and one Bournemouth player have been bailed by police investigating an alleged sex attack on a woman.

The men were arrested on Thursday morning on suspicion of sexual assault.

"The six men that were arrested in Brighton and Bournemouth on Thursday on suspicion of sexual assault have been questioned and bailed," read a Sussex Police statement.

"The men are 18, 19, two 20-year-olds and one 24-year-old, all from Brighton, and a 20-year-old from Bournemouth. They have been bailed to March 21."

The alleged offence took place in July last year.
