Half-Time Report: Brighton & Hove Albion frustrate Norwich City in first half

Norwich City are being held to a goalless draw by Brighton & Hove Albion in their Championship match at The Amex.

Brighton & Hove Albion are holding Norwich City to a goalless draw in their Championship clash at The Amex this afternoon.

Norwich dominated possession in the early exchanges, which led to Bradley Johnson testing David Stockdale with a powerful shot from distance that the Brighton goalkeeper parried away for a corner.

The Canaries continued to enjoy most of the ball but failed to break down the home defence, although Cameron Jerome had an opportunity in the 14th minute after he was picked out by Wes Hoolahan's cross. However, the striker could only put his header wide of the post.

Hoolahan picked out fellow midfielder Alexander Tettey shortly after, but he failed to test Stockdale as he dragged a shot across goal and wide of the mark.

Tettey then set up Johnson for another effort on goal, but his left-footed shot from 20 yards flew wide of Stockdale's post.

Brighton almost caught the visitors out with a counter-attack six minutes before the break when Beram Kayal picked out Joao Teixeira, but the midfielder shot wide from inside the penalty area following a mistake in the Norwich defence.

Seagulls forward Chris O'Grady had the final chance of the opening half, but the striker's effort was comfortably saved by John Ruddy.
