Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Brentford could line up for Sunday's Premier League showdown with Chelsea at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has confirmed that Mikkel Damsgaard will come into the starting lineup for Sunday's Premier League meeting with Chelsea.

The Denmark international was only fit enough to make a substitute appearance in Wednesday's 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United at St James' Park.

However, he is now 100% ready for Sunday's fixture, as Frank told reporters on Friday: "Damsgaard is fine, it is no secret that he will start on Sunday."

Rico Henry and Mathias Jensen are both in contention to return to the matchday squad, although the pair are only likely to be on the bench if they are included.

Aaron Hickey and Gustavo Nunes are not ready to return to action for the game against Chelsea, while Fabio Carvalho (shoulder), Josh Dasilva (knee) and Igor Thiago (knee) remain sidelined through injury.

Mark Flekken will continue to marshal the Brentford goal, with the Dutchman set to be shielded by the central defensive pairing of Nathan Collins and Ethan Pinnock.

Sepp van den Berg, who featured at right-back against Newcastle, could be given the nod over Kristoffer Ajer for the second game in a row, while there does not appear to be anyone challenging Keane Lewis-Potter for the left-back spot.

Brentford captain Christian Norgaard will resume his central midfield partnership with Vitaly Janelt, with the pair set to operate behind Damsgaard, whose inclusion as the number 10 will force Yegor Yarmolyuk to drop to the bench.

Mbeumo will look to add to his 16-goal Premier League tally when he lines up on the right, and Kevin Schade should keep his spot on the left side of Brentford's attack.

Yoane Wissa will continue to lead the line for the Bees, with the forward looking to continue his productive campaign after netting 14 goals in 27 league matches this term.

Brentford possible starting lineup: Flekken; Van den Berg, Collins, Pinnock, Lewis-Potter; Norgaard, Janelt; Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Schade; Wissa
