Brazil 2-1 Argentina
A late Neymar penalty gives Brazil the advantage in the first leg of the Superclasico against Argentina.

Neymar scored an injury-time penalty to give Brazil a 2-1 victory over Argentina in the first leg of the Superclasico.

A good start from the visitors put Brazil under pressure in the early stages and the game's first goal came in the 20th minute.

Clemente Rodriguez picked out Juan Manuel Martinez and the forward showed good composure to give Argentina the lead.

However, Argentina were pegged back just six minutes later when Neymar attacked at pace before providing Paulinho with a simple opportunity to level the scores.

After the equaliser Brazil started to take control of the contest but were frustrated in their attempts to find a winner.

Brazil were finally given the chance to secure a first-leg victory in stoppage time when Leandro Desabato conceded a penalty and Neymar stayed calm under pressure to convert his shot from 12 yards.
