Luiz Felipe Scolari is named as the new manager of Gremio, two weeks after leaving his post with Brazil.

Former Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has been appointed as the new head coach of Gremio.

The 65-year-old resigned from his position with the Selecao following the conclusion of the World Cup.

He had been heavily criticised by the Brazilian media after the country were hammered 7-1 by Germany in the semi-finals, before suffering a 3-0 defeat against the Netherlands in the third-place playoff.

Scolari has managed Gremio twice before in his career and he guided the club to the Copa Libertadores title in 1995 and the league title in 1996.

Brazil recently named Dunga as the new manager of the national side.
