Ronaldo: 'Sex before matches is fine'

Brazil legend Ronaldo says that sex before a game does not affect a player's performance on the pitch.

Brazil legend Ronaldo has said that having sex before football matches does not affect a player's performance on the field.

The former striker played for for some of Europe's top clubs during his career, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan, before he retired earlier this year.

"Nobody can prove that sex affects performance on the field," he told Sport. "[However], masturbation is more tiring."

The 35-year-old is the World Cup's all-time leading goalscorer with 15 goals.
