Ramires out of Brazil match

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has been ruled out of Brazil's friendly against Italy in Geneva on Thursday with a thigh injury.

The 25-year-old, who has been one of his club's star performers this season, has remained in London to receive treatment on the strain.

However, it is understood that the pacey midfielder could return to face Russia on March 26, with the match being held at Stamford Bridge.

Ramires has appeared 34 times for his country, scoring three times in the process.
