Luiz Gustavo expects Brazil resurgence

Brazil midfielder Luiz Gustavo backs the team to recover from their disappointment at the World Cup.

Brazil midfielder Luiz Gustavo has insisted that the team will bounce back from their disappointment at the World Cup.

The five-time champions reached the semi-finals on home turf before being humiliated 7-1 by eventual winners Germany.

Despite exiting the tournament in such embarrassing fashion, Gustavo believes that Brazil will recover and be back among the trophies in the future.

"Brazil is a five-time world champion. In football there are ups and downs, but the Brazilian national team will be always strong and keep winning titles," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

Gustavo featured in six of the seven matches that Brazil played at the World Cup.
