Bradford City joint-chairman Mark Lawn is confident that his side can gain promotion to League One if they get the better of Burton Albion in the semi-final playoff.

Bradford City joint-chairman Mark Lawn has said that his side can gain promotion to League One if they reach the League Two playoff final.

Lawn believes that the Bantams would put up a better fight at Wembley than they did against Swansea City in the League Cup final in February, losing 5-0.

"We all enjoyed the cup run and it was amazing making history and getting there," he told BBC Radio 5 live.

"But this is one that, if we can get to Wembley, we will be able to put up a little bit more of a fight than we were able to against such a good side as Swansea. But we've got a very good, strong Burton side to get through over two legs first."

The first leg of the semi-final playoff tie between Bradford and Burton Albion is being played tonight.
