Bradford City chief Dave Baldwin yet to come to terms with victory over Arsenal

Baldwin: 'Defeating Arsenal not sunk in'

Bradford City chief executive Dave Baldwin has admitted that last night's surprise win over Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the League Cup has 'not sunk in'.

The League Two outfit managed to see off their Premier League opponents by clinching a penalty shootout 3-2 after holding the Gunners to a 1-1 draw until the end of extra time.

"Last night's win against Arsenal really hasn't sunk in yet," Baldwin told BBC Radio Five Live. "When it went to penalties there was a sense of 'we can do this'.

"I thought 'we've got the upper hand here, we've won on penalties eight times before'. We didn't do it the easiest way, we missed two but it was brilliant. Credit goes to the players, management and staff."

Meanwhile, Bradford are appealing the Football Association's decision to boot them out of the FA Cup after they fielded an ineligible player.
