Tyrone Mings completes Bournemouth move

Defender Tyrone Mings departs Ipswich Town to sign a four-year deal with Bournemouth, who have paid a club-record fee for his signature.

Bournemouth have completed the signing of Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings on a four-year deal.

Mings had been linked with a whole host of clubs in the Premier League, but the left-footed player has opted to move to the newly-promoted side, who have paid an undisclosed club-record fee for his signature.

The 22-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "The manager had a big impact on me signing for Bournemouth. He is one of the most exciting English managers, so to come down here to work for him and learn new ideas is going to benefit my game.

"I'm looking forward to learning from him and his ideas. They are probably a lot different to what I have been used to in the past, and that can only be a good thing. I've come here to learn and develop as much as possible.

"I think their style of play is completely different to anyone else in the league, and that's due to the manager and how in-depth he is with everything, but obviously the group of players that he has here can pull off what he is asking them to do. They are very well organised and play good football."

Mings made 64 appearances in all competitions during his time at Portman Road.
