Joshua King makes Bournemouth switch

Bournemouth make their third signing of the season by landing Blackburn Rovers forward Joshua King.

Bournemouth have ramped up their Premier League preparations by signing Blackburn Rovers forward Joshua King on a three-year deal.

The 23-year-old, who turned down a new contract at Ewood Park, becomes the Cherries' third capture since they secured a place in the top flight, following in the footsteps of goalkeeping duo Artur Boruc and Adam Federici.

King made 23 appearances for Blackburn in all competitions during their most recent campaign, with his standout performance coming in an FA Cup fifth-round tie against Stoke City when he bagged an impressive hat-trick.

Bournemouth are also said to be close to capturing Chelsea winger Christian Atsu on a season-long loan deal.
