Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn : "Eddie Howe is going nowhere"

Jeff Mostyn, the chairman of Bournemouth, claims that there is no chance of in-demand manager Eddie Howe taking up another job in the summer.

Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn has warned potential suitors off making an approach for Eddie Howe this summer, claiming that the young manager is "going nowhere".

The 37-year-old, who is currently in his second spell in charge of the club, has guided the Cherries to the brink of promotion to the Premier League following Monday night's 3-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers.

Barring a final-day collapse of catastrophic proportions, the South Coast club will compete in the top tier of English football for the first time in their history next season, and Mostyn is adamant that Howe will remain in place.

"Eddie Howe is going nowhere," he told BBC Sport. "I have said his ambition is to manage a team in the Premier League and when that happens it will be with AFC Bournemouth.

"Short of a catastrophe at Charlton we will be in the Premier League and Eddie Howe will be with us as our manager."

Howe is now on the brink of guiding Bournemouth to a second promotion in three years, having taken over the club while they were in the lower reaches of the League One table.
