Preview: Bournemouth vs. Sheffield Wednesday

Bournemouth vs. Sheff Weds

Bournemouth could climb into the playoff places if they defeat Sheffield Wednesday on Good Friday and other results go their way.

The Cherries have surged into the playoff race thanks to their recent run of five wins in the last six games.

They go into Friday's game just two points outside of the top six but three places adrift of the playoffs in what is an extremely tight contest for the fourth and final spot.

Eddie Howe has said that he is considering giving some of his players a rest, with top scorer Lewis Grabban the most likely to drop to the bench.

Harry Arter remains absent as he is serving the third and final game of a suspension.

Opponents Wednesday, on the other hand, appear to have little to play for in the run-in as they are 10 points clear of the relegation zone and 14 adrift of the playoffs.

Stuart Gray has no new injury concerns but might be able to welcome back Glenn Loovens in defence.

The reverse fixture just before Christmas went Bournemouth's way as they came out on top 2-1 at Hillsborough.
