Bournemouth looking to achieve Premier League first in Nottingham Forest clash

Bournemouth looking to achieve Premier League first in Forest clash

Bournemouth will have the chance to set a new club record when they face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday.

They will return to action for the first time since last weekend's meeting with Luton Town was abandoned in the second half.

The Premier League clash was called off after Luton captain Tom Lockyer suffered a cardiac arrest in the 59th minute.

While Lockyer has since been discharged from hospital, the Premier League have confirmed that the game will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Cherries, who occupy 14th place, will now turn their focus to Saturday's away meeting with Nottingham Forest, where they will be looking to extend their five-game unbeaten run (W4, D1).

They also have the chance to set a new club record after winning their last three away games against Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Manchester United.

As a result of those victories, Bournemouth have the opportunity to record four consecutive Premier League away wins for the very first time.

With the Cherries aiming to create a piece of history, they can take confidence from their impressive head-to-head record, having won four and drawn two of their previous six competitive meetings with Forest.

Bournemouth have also emerged victorious from their previous two trips to the City Ground, including a narrow 3-2 win in last season's away clash.

On that occasion, the South-coast side fought back from two goals down to claim maximum points thanks to efforts from Philip Billing, Dominic Solanke and Jaidon Anthony.

Solanke will fancy his chances of finding the net once again after scoring eight goals in 16 Premier League appearances this season.
