Tyrone Mings: 'Injury tough pill to swallow'

Bournemouth's club-record signing Tyrone Mings has admitted that learning that he will be out injured for the rest of the season was a "tough pill to swallow".

The 22-year-old, who signed for the Cherries for a reported £8m fee from Ipswich Town in the summer, suffered a knee injury during Bournemouth's 1-1 draw against Leicester City at the weekend.

On Twitter, Mings wrote: "Very tough pill to swallow ... But I've been through tougher, it's only a knee at the end of the day. I'll be back."

The defender also added a picture of text, which read: "Mirror mirror on the wall, I'll always get up after I fall. And whether I run, walk or have to crawl, I'll set my goals and achieve them all."

The Cherries have lost two games, won one and drawn one in the Premier League so far.
