Bournemouth's Callum Wilson targets early return to action in April

Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson says that he hopes to return to action in April after initially being told that he will miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury.

Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson has revealed that he hopes to return to action by April, despite initially being ruled out of the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The 23-year-old was in fine form, scoring five goals in six games, when he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in a 2-1 defeat to Stoke City last month.

"I've got my eye on April time, hopefully with good rehab and keeping everything else like my diet in shape I can make a return before the end of the season," Wilson told Sky Sports News.

The Cherries are two points above the relegation zone in the Premier League after nine games.
