Bournemouth's most valuable players

Sports Mole takes a look at the most valuable players in the Bournemouth squad.

Bournemouth have been a Premier League team since winning the Championship in 2014-15, finishing 16th, ninth, 12th and 14th in their four seasons in the top flight.

The Cherries are currently 18th in the table this term, though, and face a battle to secure their Premier League status for next season, should play be allowed to resume in the coming weeks or months.

Eddie Howe has put together a talented squad in recent years, and there will certainly be a number of clubs closely watching developments at the Vitality Stadium as relegation could lead to a number of exits.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at the club's most valuable players.

In truth, it is not a surprise to see Nathan Ake at the top of the list. Indeed, the 25-year-old has developed into an excellent centre-back at this level, leading to suggestions that Tottenham Hotspur could attempt to sign him, while Chelsea are thought to be interested in bringing him back to Stamford Bridge.

Callum Wilson, meanwhile, is second in the list with a valuation of £27m, having found the back of the net on eight occasions in the Premier League this season. The striker would surely have been in Gareth Southgate's England plans had Euro 2020 gone ahead, but he will still be hoping to be involved next summer.

David Brooks is third with £27m, which is also not a surprise. The Wales international has not played this season due to an ankle injury, but he scored seven Premier League goals last season following a move from Sheffield United, leading to suggestions that Manchester United were interested in his services.

Ryan Fraser's high ranking is perhaps slightly surprising considering that the 26-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season, while he has only managed one Premier League goal this season.

Jordan Ibe, once a very promising youngster at Liverpool, is down the list with a valuation of £5.4m, having really struggled to make his mark for Howe's side, scoring just five times in 92 appearances.

Joshua King, meanwhile, has a valuation of £18m, the same as Lewis Cook. The Norway international was linked with a return to Manchester United in January, but the Red Devils could not agree a transfer fee.

The lowest-ranked outfield player on the list is Sam Surridge, who has spent time on loan with Swansea City this season. Meanwhile, Artur Boruc and Simon Francis are also down the rankings.

Aaron Ramsdale sits in the middle of the list with a valuation of £12.6m, meanwhile, and there have been suggestions that both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are interested in his services.
