Patrick Herrmann extends his contract at Borussia Monchengladbach until 2016.

Borussia Monchengladbach winger Patrick Herrmann has agreed terms on a contract extension that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2016.

The player, who came through the club's youth academy, said that he has enjoyed his time so far at the club and wants to go on to bigger and better things with Gladbach.

"I've been at Borussia for almost five years and am very happy here," Bundesliga.com quotes Herrmann as saying. "I've learnt a lot in that time and I can still improve further here. Together with the club, I've already achieved a lot and I would really like to continue that.

"I'm very pleased with my development. I've played many games and picked up some valuable experience, particularly internationally."

Gladbach are currently eighth in the Bundesliga.
