Ciro Immobile: 'I might not stay at Borussia Dortmund'

Ciro Immobile admits that he would consider leaving Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

Ciro Immobile has admitted that he would consider leaving Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

The Italian only joined the Bundesliga club from Torino last year, but he struggled to secure a regular spot in the side during his debut campaign, with Jurgen Klopp often preferring to use Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the lone striker.

Thomas Tuchel has arrived as Klopp's replacement, and despite revealing that he would stay at Dortmund, Immobile is desperate for more opportunities as he looks to become a key player for Italy ahead of Euro 2016.

"It is normal that I am pleased to be linked with so many big teams, but if I have to change then I have an important choice to make," he told reporters.

"Next year, there are the Euros and I want to be a protagonist for Italy. That's not to say it can't happen at Borussia Dortmund because they have changed the coach and that could create new opportunities. but I might not stay at Dortmund.

"Thomas Tuchel will have a few weeks to get to know me. I want to see how things go there first."

Immobile has scored just six goals in all competitions for Dortmund.
