Borussia Dortmund dismiss Mats Hummels exit rumours

Borussia Dortmund have dismissed reports that defender Mats Hummels will leave the club for Manchester City in January.

The defender German champions' chief executive, Aki Watzke, insists that the 24-year-old will continue to play for them, telling reporters that the speculation is "pure nonsense".

Hummels joined Dortmund from Bayern Munich in 2008 and has established himself as a key player for Jurgen Klopp's side.

The Germany international's current contract with the club runs until June 2017.
