Report: Bayern Munich to match Mario Gotze clause

Report: Gotze agrees Bayern contract

Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Mario Gotze has reportedly agreed to join newly-crowned Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the summer.

The 20-year-old is one of the hottest properties in European football and had previously been linked with a move to Premier League duo Manchester United and Arsenal.

Gotze is committed to Dortmund until 2016, but according to German newspaper Bild, there is a €37m (£32m) release clause in his contract that Munich are prepared to meet.

The report goes on to claim that Gotze will sign a €7m (£6m)-a-year deal with the Bavarian outfit, a €2m (£1.7m)-a-year pay rise from his current contract at the Westfalenstadion.

Gotze has scored 10 goals in 28 league appearances for Dortmund this season.
